Ashley went on a surf trip to .the Philippines and rocked up to a surf contest, with 60 entries from all over the world, he didn't have a longboard with him so had to hire an old 9ft Bic Longboard and took first place

'The 9th La Union Longboard Open Filipino-Foreigner Friendship Classic was held last February 2-4, 2007 at Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union. Crowds were entertained by British Longboard Sensation, Ashley, who was in the area for a Surfing Safari Adventure (travel packages available at Sebay). "I didn't even know about the event. It was a complete surprise. Nonetheless, I joined the competition and had a fantastic time. I had no idea the Philippines had such an absolutely terrific surfing community, particularly,
the surfing community of San Juan, La Union."

We can give you advice on how to improve your surfing help when choosing a new board or even repair your board when you have  a problem
